TJ Mulloy was born, raised, and educated in Ohio's 16th Congressional District. The 9th of 10 siblings, he played football, baseball, and was an avid wrestler while at Saint Brendan's Elementary School in North Olmsted, going on to graduate from Saint Edward High School.
TJ's parents, Steve Mulloy and Anne O'Donnell, were immigrants from Achill Island off Ireland's west coast. Civic and community activism was a way of life for the entire family from an early age. Being an active participant in one's church and community came easily in a household where giving one's time and energy to the greater good was not only an expectation, but a privilege for those blessed with being an American.
Through early adulthood TJ worked construction and became a proud member of Laborers' Local 310 Cleveland. He knows the dignity of hard work for an honest day's pay, having worked jobs from the coal fired power plants in Avon Lake and Eastlake, to Lorain's US Steel mill and Parma's Chevy plant.
He made the leap from blue collar to white collar, going to work for a renewable energy start up after completing a diploma from UCD School of Finance. He went on to set up his own small business as an insurance and investment broker in Dublin.
The inability of those in Washington DC to get anything done for working Americans and complete lack of regard for the middle class in a dysfunctional Congress called him home to run where he was born and raised in Ohio's 16th District.

Having spent the majority of his life in Northeast Ohio, TJ Mulloy understands the many challenges facing our communities.
